REETTA project 2021–2022: Integrating financial and climate management

REETTA project promotes the integration of financial and climate management in municipalities. The goal is to identify the means of connecting climate goals in the financial management of municipalities, and to make these an integral part of municipalities’ normal operations.

In the long run, the project will strengthen the vitality of municipalities and increase the productiveness of their climate action. The municipalities can direct their measures and investments in the most efficient climate actions from which the municipal economy and vitality will benefit as well. 

The project outcome will be an operating model of how to systematically integrate financial and climate management in municipalities. The model will describe how municipalities can in their financial management processes examine the economic and climate impacts of different actions, recognize and prioritize the most effective climate measures, emphasize the importance of climate action in financial management, and steer financing in the most efficient climate investments and actions.

REETTA project is an independent project of the Fisu network that operates from 2021 to 2022. These projects promote resource wisdom in Fisu municipalities and offer tools for other municipalities as well.
